From the haunted heart of naval lore and the storied walls of Strong Water Anaheim comes a ghostly tribute to one of the sea’s most fabled figures. Introducing Tappin’ the Captain—inspired by the final voyage of Admiral Horatio Nelson, hero of the Battle of Trafalgar, who was mortally wounded in combat in 1805.

To preserve his body for return to England, his crew placed the fallen admiral into a cask of brandy. Not everyone on board was privy to the secret of what—or who—was floating in that barrel. And as legend has it, a few curious sailors couldn’t resist sneaking a taste during the long passage home. Thus was born the phrase, “tapping the Captain.”

Now, that storied moment is immortalized in ceramic. Towering at 13.5 inches tall with a 32oz capacity, this individually numbered mug features the grinning ghost of the Captain himself and a legacy soaked in spirit. Meticulously designed by the renowned Kevin and Jody and sculpted by Trevor Foster Studios, this piece is more than a mug. It’s a toast to the blurry line between honor and temptation.
